Explain the following features briefly.

1.     Spell Check: MS Word has a facility, in which it offers a library containing thousands of words. In a document, if MS Word identifies a word as wrong or misspelt, that particular word is underlined with a wavy red line.

2.     Change Case: Change case helps to change the case of the text in five different ways.

3.     Thesaurus: A Thesaurus helps us in finding words substitutes, synonyms, antonyms and other alternative spellings for a particular word in our document.

4.     Word Count: In MS Word, word count feature keeps count of words and count of pages, characters, paragraphs, and lines in the document as well.

Write steps to do the following jobs.

1.     To fill a Text BOX with Colour.

Ans. We follow the given steps for To fill a Text Box with colour

Step:1            Firstly, we click on the Insert tab.

Step:2            Click on the Text Box.

Step:3            Click on Draw Text Box.

Step:4            Click in the document where text box is to be inserted and then drag the mouse to draw the text Box.

Step:5            Right click on Text Box Border. And then select Format tab in menu bar. and then select fill colour option and then choose any colour.

Our Text box with colour will be inserted.

 

2.     To give an outline to a Text Box.

Ans. We follow the given steps for To give an outline to a Text Box:

Step:1            Firstly we double click on the border of the Text Box.

Step:2            Click the down Arrow of the Text Box Style group.

Step:3            To give coloured outline , we click any colour for the Outline of the Text Box.

Step:4            To make the outline thicker, click on Weight and select any thickness to increase the thickness of the outline of the Text Box.

3.     To delete a Text Box.

Ans. If we want to delete a Text Box, we just choose the Text Box and press delete button.

4.     To add equation in the document.

Ans. We follow the given steps for To add equation in the document:

Step:1            Firstly we click on insert tab.

Step:2            Click on Equation option from the Symbols group.

                  Step:3            Click on ‘Insert New Equation’ from the drop down menu.

                  Step:4            Start typing the equation by selecting options from Symbols and

Structures group.
